For over six decades, Durgabai Deshmukh Hospital and Research Centre (DDH & RC), under the aegis of Durgabai Deshmukh Mahila Sabha formerly known as Andhra Mahila Sabha, has been a beacon of hope and healing. Founded by ,Padma-Vibhushan Dr.(Smt.) Durgabai Deshmukh, the Legendary social welfare worker, this non-profit charitable trust continues to uphold its mission of delivering quality healthcare to all, with a special focus on affordability and accessibility.
This Hospital established in 1964 embodies the spirit of selfless service championed by Dr. Durgabai Deshmukh .Our commitment goes beyond treatment it’s about empowering lives and fostering healthier communities. The hospital provides multispecialty health care services with more than 250 beds and has a 24×7 Pharmacy, Blood Bank, Laboratory, CT Scan and diagnostic services. The establishment of our state-of-the-art Cancer Centre in 2024 marked a significant milestone in our journey.

They are significantly lower compared to many hospitals providing similar quality services. The hospital is strengthened with sophisticated equipment & facilities. The hospital has recently established a cancer center with separate block of 5 floors to provide an affordable cancer treatment .The Hospital is supported by highly qualified, experienced and competent panel of Consultants, medical officers, Paramedical staff, nursing staff and other Technical and Administrative staff.

The hospital’s objective as a charitable organization is to provide and perform all such activities as may be necessary to reduce cost of hospital services for patients. The hospital is serving it mission driven heath care services on absolute ethical grounds.

Aarogyasree
The hospital is empaneled with Aarogyasree schemes of Telangana State and Andhra Pradesh State. The hospital is on the panel of a number of establishments for treatment like BDL, BEL, CDFD, CCMD, IICT, NGRI, NFC, TGSRTC,.
Insurance
We have Third Party Administration (TPA) insurance arrangements for cashless treatment with various Insurance Companies. And we also have TPA arrangement with Mediassist, FHPL, Safe Way, Heritage , Heath India Insurance, Health Insurance TPA (HITPA), GHPL, Paramount, which take up the claims of Insurance Companies ike The New India Insurance Co., Ltd., The Oriental Insurance, National Insurance, United India Insurance, ICICI Lambro, Bajaj Allianz Insurance, Niva Bupa, Cholamandalam, Future General, IFFICO- TOKIO, HDFC ERGO, Universal Sampo, TATA AIG.
Medical Courses
The hospital accredited to National Board of Examinations, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Govt of India for the award of Diplomate of National Board (DNB), which is equivalent to Postgraduate Degrees like M.S, M.D., etc., awarded by the Universities. Ours is the first hospital in Telangana & Andhra Pradesh to start the DNB programme.
